Through the Camera's Eye

While Kyle and Kasie were busy chasing each other around Kasie's yard, I snagged a great shot of the two of them. However, as I zoomed in on the picture, I noticed there was something wrong with the image. Can you catch it?

(Kasie is chasing Kyle while he runs off with her tennis ball.)

Needless to say, I put my camera away long enough to take the tennis ball and hide it on top of the fence. Oops! Note to self: clean up non-GDB toys from a yard before letting Kyle free.

Have you ever caught your puppy doing something on camera that you didn't notice in real life? Please tell me I'm not the only completely clueless puppy raiser.

  1. Well, it wasn't really on camera. When Freya was real little we started having new families join and everyone wanted to walk the cute puppy. So she was being walked by someone and I just looked over and I thought she was walking kind of weird. At first I was worried...until I noticed that she had the person's show lace in her mouth while walking. :)

  2. That's funny! Turk loved to untie shoes, but he never tried it while we were on the go. That would have been adorable to witness. :)

  3. Years ago i was ecstatic that our puppy Rolo had been chewing/slurping on his bone at my feet for most of an hour without getting up to find some mischief as usual. When I finally stood up and bent to pat him on the head & praise him I was horrified to realize that it was not Rolo's bone he had, but our little tortoise!

  4. P.S. Rolo was not a guide puppy. Also if a tortoise gets a soggy undershell from sitting too long in water or from say an hour of doggy slurping you simply blow dry the shell for a couple minutes & it hardens right up again! By the time we took on puppy raising for GDB we had lots of experience with puppy naughtiness & a big family (& an Alpha Female canine) to keep constant watch, so I don't think our "boys" got away with very much on camera or off. I'd luv to hear from others, though, about their bloopers & would gladly share non-guidedog naughties in return!
